Diversity Visa Lottery

The United States government recognizes that we are a nation of immigrants.  This fact has contributed to our nation’s status today as a beacon for the rest of the world, in good times and bad.  Our government is generously willing to share that prosperity with prospective immigrants through the Diversity Visa or Green Card Lottery.  Every year the State Department holds a lottery and 55,000 applicants are selected at random to receive a green card.

At Jaensch Immigration Law Firm we would like to help as many people as possible register to apply for the Diversity Visa.  We see it as one option among many for achieving the goal of immigrating legally to the United States.

Immigrants Impressed by the Abundance of Sarasota Golf Courses

GOLFING IN SARASOTA/BRADENTON/VENICE

I was showing property in 2001 to an executive in the chemical business from India.  He and his son were real golf nuts, and I was able to get them free passes to a national tournament at The Players Club in Sarasota.  He was most appreciative and said, “you know Wally, there are more golf courses in the Sarasota area than in all of India.”

Golf Courses of Sarasota

Golf Courses of Sarasota

This sounded unlikely at the time, but I did not question him.  I was thinking about this the other day, and googled:  golf courses in India and found there to be 70 some there.  It surprised me to see that there were that few for a county that size.  This area has 43 golf courses, which also surprised me.  Maybe back in 2001, there were actually more courses in our area than all of India!

The 43 golf courses here include 10 private, 23 semi private, 7 public and 3 executive courses.  Prices range from very affordable public courses to very pricey private courses, with annual fees as high as several thousand dollars, and everything in between.

Whatever your golfing interest it can be found in abundance here!
