Canadian Investor Opens “20 Minutes to Fitness” in Sarasota

In light of the many people who resolved to get fit in 2011, we would like to congratulate Canadian investor, Hugh Elsam, who recently opened a 20 Minutes to Fitness studio in downtown Sarasota.  This fitness studio is unique, because it offers a complete, full body work out once per week for just 20 minutes.

The 20 Minutes to Fitness training is performed: (1) on highly-specialized, compound-muscle training equipment; (2) using a slow, safe, proven training protocol; (3) under the supervision of certified, 20 Minutes to Fitness personal trainers; (4) in a quiet, semi-private studio, where there is no waiting on equipment; and (5) typically requiring only one, 20 minute session a week. A training session lasts from 20 to 22 minutes, with the client training on five to seven pieces of equipment. Since most of the equipment focuses on a compound muscle groups, one session provides a full-body workout.

The 20 Minutes to Fitness studio in Sarasota occupies over 3,000 square feet in one of the new office buildings on the Rivo on Ringling property.

I was recently invited to an orientation and trial workout to see how I would like a 20 Minutes to Fitness concept.  I met with the General Manager, Michelle, who first talked to me about my health and my fitness goals.  Then, she had me work on four different machines for approximately 2 minutes each.  With each machine, she showed me how to do a slow contraction and release it (it has to take 10 to 15 seconds one way and 10 to 15 seconds back).  After I had the timing down, I had to do slow repetitions for up to two minutes on each machine until I could not do any more.  It was a real workout!  When I was finished (in 20 minutes!), I felt like I had really put my muscles to the test.  I will be back for sure.

20 Minutes to Fitness gave me some certificates for a fee orientation and workout.  If you would like to try them out, please send me an email: Chris@VisaAmerica.com
